About Sarah Giles

I'm a mother of two, living in the outskirts of Hampden, Maine. I'm passionate about books, and living a family-focused life. I was diagnosed with narcolepsy as a teen - a neurological sleep disorder that keeps me awake at night, and tired throughout the day. I've comfortably coupled my disorder with my love of books. Who doesn't love books and napping together?

A conversation with Tess Gerritsen

Hi Readers!   A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to meet Maine author Tess Gerritsen. She’s most known for her book Gravity (1999), and for her crime series Rizzoli & Isles, for which the title crime series on TNT is based. We had a great chat before her book launch event at […]

Published in May 2015 by Islandport […]

The Power of Books

Please overlook the asymmetry and other eye-twitching misalignment**     Hi Readers! I thought I’d share a small confession with you all…   I haven’t been reading.   I know, […]

A “Close” Book Review, and Tour Dates!

Hi Readers!   I trust you’ve all been basking in the new spring sun, as I have. I can even see some new green growth, if I use my bifocals. I keep my dirt-snowbank out of my field of view, though. Selective bifocals, they are.   What I have had my eye on, though, […]

Author Focus: Kimberly McCreight

Hi Readers!   I’m excited and honored to introduce you to Kimberly McCreight!   Author Kimberly McCreight has got the literary bull by the horns. Impressing readers and critics with her debut thriller Reconstructing Amelia in 2013, McCreight and HarperCollins have wasted no time publishing an equally gripping second thriller.   In Reconstructing Amelia, […]

New Book Tuesday!

Hi Readers!   April showers bring May flowers! But first (still), snow. At least there’s always books. And lots of them this month. To save you from ESS (Endless Scroll Syndrome), I’ve broken down the new releases by week. All the books from this post will be released Tuesday, April 7th. Bears aren’t the […]
